Note – Click here for Add, Rearrange or Delete powerpoint 2007 Slides.

Click on the New Slide button on the toolbar to add a new slide to your presentation. Alternatively, you may choose Insert > New Slide from the menu.

The Slide Layout task pane will appear on the right side of your screen. Choose the type of slide you want to use.

Deleting a Slide

Select slide to delete in powerpoint Outline Pane.

In the Outline / Slides task pane on the left of your screen, click on the slide you wish to delete. Press the Delete key on your keyboard.

Use Slide Sorter View

Two ways to change to Slide Sorter view to delete or reorder Slides.

Alternatively, you may wish to use the slide sorter view to delete Slides.

To switch to Slide Sorter view, click on the Slide Sorter button just above the Drawing toolbar, or choose View > Slide Sorter from the menu.

Move Slides in Slide Sorter View

Slide Sorter view shows thumbnail pictures of each of your Slides.

Steps to move Slides in Slide Sorter view

  1. Click on the slide you wish to move.
  2. Drag the slide to the new location.
  3. A vertical line appears as you drag the slide. When the vertical line is in the correct location, release the mouse.
  4. The slide is now in the new location.

Move Slides in the Outline / Slides Pane

Steps to move Slides in the Outline / Slides pane

  1. Click on the slide you wish to move.
  2. Drag the slide to the new location.
  3. A horizontal line appears as you drag the slide. When the horizontal line is in the correct location, release the mouse.
  4. The slide is now in the new location.
